021 Gender Identity

God loves us all and created us perfectly, the way He wanted, with a perfect plan and  purpose for our lives.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.  God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it.  Genesis 1:27-28.

“But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’’  For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.’  So they are no longer two, but one.  Mark 10:6-8

God is perfect and all He does is perfect.  On the other hand, humans are not perfect and we can choose wrong and feel like doing things that do not line up with God’s perfect ways.

There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.  Proverbs 16:25.

The way God designed us, He made it very clear whether He created us male or female.  His design for marriage and sexual relationships is to be between a husband and a wife.

God does not want us to be confused.  Satan is the one who wants to deceive and confuse us into going against God and the way He created things to be.  Satan is the father of lies and has come to steal, kill and destroy our relationship with God and our eternity, with Him, in Heaven.

They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator–who is forever praised. Amen.  Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones.  In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.  Romans 1:25-27

A woman must not wear men’s clothing, nor a man wear women’s clothing, for the LORD your God detests anyone who does this.  Deuteronomy 22:5

If someone is deceived and confused about the way God created them to be, it is not loving to help them to continue on a path that is in rebellion to God and His design.  It is never a good thing for us to rebel and fight against God.  Not only is it a losing situation, but it causes us to miss out on God’s best for our lives.  He is not trying to cause us to miss out on something that is good for us, He is protecting us from things that are destructive to our lives and cause separation from Him.

Also, it is not helpful to a confused person to try to get everyone else to be confused about about a false belief.  This does not actually help the person, it only helps them to “feel” better, in the moment, about being confused and being in rebellion toward God and His ways.

The answer comes through a new life in Jesus Christ who wants us to know the truth that will set us free from all deception and bondages that separate us from HIm.  We do not have to be controlled by false belief systems and deceptions.

God has a perfect plan and purpose for each of us in the way that He created us.  He loves us more than we can even comprehend and He did not make a mistake in how He created us.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Jeremiah 29:11
